Matt will provide an introduction to the core ideas of Effective Altruism. Effective altruism is a philosophy and social movement focusing on answering one question: How can we best help others?
At this event we will discuss ways the community considers how to do the most good as well as things we as individuals can do. If you are curious what the Effective Altruism movement is about, or maybe know a bit about it, this will be a great way to engage with some of the local EA community and learn more.
Some vegan and vegetarian offerings will be provided. Any potluck contributions would be very much appreciated. Feel free to bring questions as there will be space for discussion.
