Barnum Park Trash Blitz

When: Sat, May 9, 2026 at 8:00am - 12:00pm

Where:
Barnum Park
345 Grove St
Denver, CO 80204

Join Polar Planet on World Migratory Bird Day for hands-on trash blitz focused on Barnum Lake. Just another Saturday morning, on May 9, 2026 starting at 8am and blitzing until noon, so please join our effort as early as possible, but at anytime during the 4 hour event.

We stage ground zero at the Grove street culdesac. We blitz trash and eliminate litter by utilizing trash pickers, buckets and bags to dispose of it in dumpsters to support urban wildlife conservation. We have plenty of waders to do the shoreline and 2 SUP's to do the pond. This event is perfect for anyone looking to make a positive impact on the local environment and contribute to improving the ambiance of Barnum Park.

Polar Planet has been recognized as Denver Parks and Recreation's #1 partner for 2 years in a row! Our grassroots activism expanded this year and we will steward 2 flower beds. So if trash blitzing is too tough, then join us to weed the flowers! Join us to make a difference in your local parks and community!

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." -MM
